My Hepititis C & HIV treatments

Well here I am writing a blog , the same blog I made fun of my sister for doing. Oh well - if it helps one person or makes one person smile I accomplished something.
Well if you're reading this you have, know, or have known someone with Hep-C. It's a disease that can ruin your liver therefore kill you . No alarming here I am just putting it all out there . Now I decided I would seek treatment because I was co-infected, which means while contracting the HIV and HEP C . I am not a drug user so it was through sex. Anyway that's how we got here.

I had both of them for about 5 years before I was tested. I was with the same partner for 10 years previously; he also was positive and has since died.Although the Dr told me that our strains were not the same . I was sexually assaultted on my way home from work it was awful , so that may be who I contracted the viruses . I decided at that point I was going to live life to the fullest , not taking dumb chances or making stupid decisions but to live .

When I broke up with my last " true love" it was devastating to me . My viral load and emotional well being spiraled out of control. I broke out in shingles, my numbers went wacky so my Doctor decided now was the time to put me on a proper HIV cocktail. Ooyeeeeee you would think they were shooting fire works in my system. It says to eat with them - ok I tried that and projectile city , so I did it my way - took them all together with my morning coffee (with cream and lots of sugar), and behold I kept the meds down. I had to relearn to eat I guess you would say. Luckily I had lost so much weight adjusting to these(the meds), I could now eat ANYTHING I wanted and I did. Guess that's how pregnant woman feel - they can eat anything, I sure did, some good for me, lots not, but I gained the weight back. Unfortunately I did not work out so I got a spare tire , probably the ones that fit an SUV to be exact.

Not many people get co-infected so I am a rare case they want to monitor and poke and prod extensively( believe me they do ). This is a blog diary of my treatment experience, in the hopes that others may benefit from this experience.
