Summer Colds with the unbearable heat!

Well I haven't had a cold for quite a while and forgot how horrible they are! Not exactly what the Doctor ordered but so far it's just been a continuous cough, along with chills and sneezing. The humidity is about 70/70. I don't mind the hot at all but with this pesky cold it's been no fun. I also have to keep a high alert for pneumonia which can be deadly because I am aasthmatic as well, and well the lungs just fill up fast. I am wondering if since I am already on the anti-virals it would make my immune that much stronger to fight these cold germs. Yeah that is a no .
I was already at the hospital last week., I was washing a glass I got my best friend for her wedding and it broke right in my hand, slicing a nice gouge in the middle of the pinky and forefinger . I just bandaged it up and wasn't worried about it until my neighbor said you have to go get stitches . The thought of going to the ER for a cut did not amuse me nor did I think it would the Dr's looking at it  Well I waited till the morning because it started throbbing and was still bleeding alot. So off I went to the ER calling my Dr before hand to find out about my tetnus shots and so on. After 2 hours  I was back home with superglue on my wound ( its actually called dermabond) . That ended well.  Drinking lots of water as usual and enjoying the local fruits and veggies! Love the summer food.
