OK so this is the 10th injection and all went well. Seems I am getting used to it all , the aches and pains and flu like feelings which always follow but, hey, I can take that ! So I guess I have say 40 weeks left, give or take. "Its a good thing "as Martha Stewart would say. I know this treatment inside out
A very close friend of mine(HIV Positive) passed last week from heart attack he was only 28 . He wasn't seeking care , he was in denial of his status and it was too late by the time he stumbled into an emergency room. RIP Orlando!
Early detection and common sense people. Get tested nothing just goes away! Only precious time . Hoping your all well , blessed be..

Spontaneous, exercise & humour
So I wake up at about 7:00 with my eyes still closed.....dragged the poor dog outside to pee and such - forgot to put a leash on himbut he stayed close to me and came right in. I then fell asleep till 11:00 when my sis and her partner were leaving to go in town (that's 45-50mins away). I lounged a bit and decided a nice meditating shower would do me well, which it did, so I had a cigarette outside, put it out and took my hot, luxurious shower.
I decided to watch the news so as I'm sitting in the living room watching the tv, I look outside and see smoke. I freak. It's the picnic table on fire from my cigarette. The ashtray exploded. I ran out and doused the fire....thank god it was small. About 10 mins later the dogs all started barking loudly. I ran to the door, and it was some man I never met but he said oh your sister in law knows me ...ok I have been here in the woods for over 2 months and know nobody. So I made him fill out this form about who he was and his ## etc because no one comes down this road. So he left, all was well - I decided to let the dogs out for some air (now there are 3 standard poodles, they are as large as horses..... then there is Prince Patric who you see is very small ) so I tie up this one (Simon) get ready to tie mine and he takes off, with the other large poodle, leaving nothing but dust behind them. I go into full chase and finally catch up to them at the neighbors house....the one with a pitbull. The guy came out pireced and inked and said "good thing they didn't go back there", pointing to his frothing pitbull behind the fence....I got the dogs, came back home and Prince Patric throws up 3 times .
So I guess all in all I am feeling ok today! Blessed be all!

Yes its Friday...
Got my labs back! Its all going smoothly with the fight. Like I said before its all a matter of checks and balances. Friday nights before bed I do my injection. So, by the time I get up on Saturday the toxins have had some time to mingle. In fact I may start taking all my HIV & Hep -C drugs at night to see how that works.
Boredom is setting in so we are all going to the local gay bar to play some pool and hang out and just have fun!! No problem with that! hope you are all well ... blessed be!

Got Energy...use it!
Wow........its Tuesday and I feel semi-normal. Good energy! I am going to exercise and get some physical action going while I can. It's raining here but some yoga in the basement and lifting will do good for the brain and the body. Meditation is on the list as well. OK folks....... if there is a silver lining this is one of those days. Blessed be !

Yes I am still here!!!!
So I came up with the plan to inject on Friday night, and yes it worked well. I woke up Saturday not feeling so bad, my sis said I cleaned the house and stacked wood (I don't remember doing any of it)......then went back to bed and slept until 3:00pm the next day( Sunday). Whew - I think that it's going to work out doing it at night. I have started drinking more Gatorade than water, got to mix it up ya know? So all in all I am feeling ok - its just the fact of adjusting and re-adjusting the meds and making me feel the best. Hope you're all well! Blessed be........

ummmmppfffff Friday..
I deciced that I would wait till the evening before I took my injection. So that way I could have an entire day to do something productive and maybe, just maybe it wouldn't be as bad as taking it in the AM . So right after I took it, I went to bed. This way if I felt sick I would already be in bed LOL.
Well I awoke Saturday compltely stiff and sore , but as the morning wore on I felt ok. Nothing like last Saturday, not wonderful but I could move around and didn't have those chills, fevers, etc. Lets see how the ole bod kicks in tomorrow! Be well kids ! BLESSED BE.

#7's wrath
Ok so Monday was a fluke, Tuesday back to the yukkies (remember yukkies because I will use that instead of all the aliments..).We will wrap it up in one word yukkies, you're all smart you get it.
Wow I take it all back, these drugs will tear you up and leave you lying down. Now I don't want to discourage anyone at all..... just want you to know how I dealt with it - not very well for #7. It was, and still is, a very hard week for me. Flu like feelings abound, lots of bed time this week trying to keep the water flowing but its hard when your so nauseous. Nothing like comfort things when you're not feeling well so I decided to get a nice hawiian punch.....lol.......it doesn't taste like it did when I was a child.
Ok its Wednesday so I have 2 days till injection time. I usually inject in my belly, maybe I will change spots this time.....shake things up . Hope you're all well and brightest blessings to all!

whew....!!!!!
Well slowly I am getting more energy and feeling"normal". I have basically been in bed for 2 days drinking water and trying to eat something. Of course my sister kicked in to nurse cashmere and took me to get some food at a restaurant knowing if I had more than one thing to choose from then I would eat. So its Monday, not so nice outside but I do not care I am feeling better so that's all that matters. Brightest blessings all!!

Injection #7
For some reason week 7 has started out horribly, the minute I injected the interferon I was sick, sick. I instantly got a migraine and my temperature shot through the roof. I couldn't walk , stand let alone function...this is where I begin to think is it worth it, but of course it is . This is the wrath of this disease.......I started out so strong, thinking of course this was going to be easy. WRONG!!!!!
The thoughts going through my head turned to condoms and abstinence. Goodness guys its a simple precaution and your life is worth it! So I shall stay in bed today, the one day the sun wants to appear. Stay well people - brightest blessings

The rain continues...
Considering the rain that's been here since I arrived, I have been feeling ok.......mostly tired and achy, the same old gripes. I have been into the yoga thing which is helping a lot, and gardening in the rain. I have also been eating more - which is a must kids. All in all, I will have my 7th injection tomorrow which means I am one closer to the end .

Well a trip to Wallyworld in Maine
Well sis and I decided to take a trip to Wallyworld.......arggg......I say anytime you leave this dirt road it takes you a good 2 hours to go anywhere. Don't get me wrong, being up here and not in the city has completely helped, physically I mean; fresh produce, cleaner air, plus exercise it's all good. But I am a city boy and I am used to walking less than a block to get to a store......you have to walk a block to get the mail here!
I had a quick talk with my Dr. She is just so above and beyond awesome.(she looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt) My HIV is totally undetectable (woo hoo) and everything else is going as it should.....well! So I also made it through Wallyworld with some energy to spare! So the aftermath of the interferon seems to lessen (knock on wood ).
Well I hope everyone reading this is in good health! Brightest of blessings!

Week 6
Hi folks ! I know its been awhile and its been pretty bad as far as fluish symptoms, seems they were right about the 4th week I am on my 6th. I have just been resting. A friend came and took me back up to Maine.... I seem to feel better with the clean air. Although it has been rainy and cold , I think I am better here for a few weeks......besides my wonderful (and GORGEOUS!!!!)sister makes sure my pride and joy Patric gets what he needs if I can't do it. Yes..... lots of water but I think with some sports drinks mixed in helps too!! Well I also heard from my favorite advice Diva LOLA from http://www.beonecity.com/.....
You certainly made my day and I actually made my Fab sister take a photo for all to see as per your advice. Boundaries is keyword. You're wonderful and so is our community at B many good friends. We are who we help and put a hand out for. Brightest Blessings!
